70th Birthday Party

In March 2020 I hired the hall to celebrate my 70th Birthday. As a local choir singer I wanted to celebrate with all my musical friends from around the world and friends from Sweden, Denmark, Italy and the UK all came together for a magical evening of music.

I hired a professional group (The Swingles) as the final act of the evening and my four linked choruses - Mid Sussex Choir, Sussex Kings of Harmony, Sussex A Cappella and Coastline Harmony all performed in the first half.

The bar was open and supplying drinks to all, and I was allowed to use the kitchens for catering but in the event chose to supply my guests with Birthday cake only - which was still possible using tables in the entrance hallway outside the bar area.

The hall was the ideal environment - indeed I don't know of any other venue that could have coped with Green Rooms for our professional guests and separate rooms for all the performing choruses as well as Clair Hall. Staff were all friendly and helpful and we had an amazing evening.

Rockchoir, events etc

I have used Clair Hall since 2011 every Monday going to Rockchoir. I have also performed on stage in 2009 with ACM Gospel Choir.I went to Clair Hall for friends birthday parties and when I was in the guides we used to volunteer to help out at the silver Sunday events. Please refurbish this building and please do not knock it down. Local Music Group Performances

I have used Clair Hall on several occasions for concerts with various choirs in the area. The Sussex Harmonisers have used the hall for many of their shows, and I have personally hired the hall for a birthday party. It is a vital resource in an area where there is little option for putting on a performance and selling tickets to as wide an audience as possible.I have also attending NHS meetings at Clair Hall in the past and know it was used regularly for this, so its use in recent months as a vaccination centre for Covid 19 was…
