Cinema!

It was amazing to have a cinema in town, when I moved in over 20 years ago.

It is also a place for civic gatherings - like handing out Community Awards.

Tea and Coffee for seniors, on a level ground, with convenient carpark.

The town does not have a comparable size venue.

There is no other, similar size, place for performing arts.

Lifetime venue

I have been visiting Clair Hall for as long as I can remember and I can’t picture my life without it. My mum took me to see the pantomime there every year. I know there are other pantos and other venues, but the fact that it was local people performing - who I often knew from their day jobs - is what made the performances so special. Theatre, cinema, entertainment venue, space for local clubs & societies

I have been to Clair Hall for theatre, film screenings, comedy clubs, parties, classes, to give blood & more. The town needs a modern community hub and entertainment venue where we can go to watch a variety of entertainment, take part in clubs & societies, that can be hired by the community for a variety of activities, and is a fresh , modern, environmentally friendly space.The current building is old and needs redeveloping into something beautiful for our town.
