Scouting & other children’s activities

Clair Hall is an ideal community venue due to its location near the station, parking and proximity to Clair Park.My children have used it for a range of activities such as birthday parties, drama exams, ballet recitals and Scouting at the Redwood Centre.

As a Scout leader with previous experience of looking for suitable premises in Haywards Heath, I can confirm that until the Redwood Centre became available there was a shortage of community venues for Scouting (the Cubs had to meet in Cuckfield) and there were no other venues that could provide suitable affordable accommodation for a large Scout Group. The Scouts then used volunteers and charitable donations to redecorate the Centre and it is now used by a nursery and church as well as being available for hire so that it is use almost every day.

10th Hayward’s Heath is one of the largest and most dynamic groups in the area and given that local Scouting is already massively oversubscribed it would be a shame if it was not considered as the valuable asset to local children that it is.
