Project update - June 2026
Work to improve Mount Noddy Playground is now in its final stages, and we are hoping to reopen it to the public in early July. We thank residents for their patience whilst we bring these much-needed improvements to the community of East Grinstead.
Our contractors have been on site fixing drainage issues we came across during the project. New drainage pipes have been installed, and a large soakaway tank will be added in the coming weeks. These improvements will help make sure the playground can be enjoyed all year round, whatever the weather.
Installation of the rubber safety surfacing is now underway around the play equipment. Once this is complete, the playground will be independently inspected by RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), to make sure it meets all relevant safety standards before it reopens.
We do need dry weather to complete the remaining work and make sure everything is installed properly. At the moment, we are working towards an early July opening and will continue to keep the community updated.
Thank you for your contribution!
