10th HH Scouts Association
Both my children have benefitted from the resources of Claire Hall and especially the Redwood Centre as part of 10th HH scouts. It is a great hub for all of the various groups of 10th HH and perfect for scouting activities with the kitchen, various spaces and proximity to Claire Hall park. The Redwood Centre should be considered as a key resource to the community for this and generations to come. The parking is also key to the functioning of the Redwood Centre and any reduction in this would create significant congestion on the main road leading up from the station.
HH has expanded considerably in recent years to be almost unrecognisable. Little consideration has been given to the resources required for all these additional residents/cars/school children etc. In my opinion, the pursuit of money has come above the needs of the community. To destroy yet another area of HH and take away this resource from the public would be unforgivable. It should be preserved for the use of the people of HH now and into the future and not converted into yet more flats for monetary gain or, God forbid, MORE housing for the elderly.
