HH Cricket Club lives here too!

Since 1897, cricket has been played in Clair Park and now the town has a Club with nearly 350 members using the ground on a regular basis through the spring and summer. With that, Clair Hall car park is a vital space for our members and visitors and on any single Friday night, we can cater for over 100 Juniors. The Club is providing sport for all ages & abilities and growing each year and striving to make it the heart of the town. Without adequate parking, it will be very difficult for us to continue to provide sport for all.

The car park and Clair Hall itself is a vital asset for the community and must be kept. Ansty have a Community Centre and adequate parking for a village much much smaller than HH. Pls consider this in your plans!

I thoroughly endorse all the comments  and stories here. So many worthwhile events have been held over it’s life, one in particular comes to mind . A group of 6 local women hired the main hall for a party for their families and friends to welcome the year 2000. The manager and staff worked so hard on our behalf to facilitate a truly fantastic New Years Eve party and gave up their own celebrations to support the community.  Over 200 people ( I think) enjoyed a sit down meal, the food was brought but the kitchens were used for heating and serving. The bar provided drinks and folk could bring champagne for midnight. The flexibility and personal light touch was outstanding. The manager himself helped blow up hundreds of balloons for the giant net that was released at midnight which he fixed up! It was truly a night to remember…. We were always appreciative of the venue…. The only place in mid sussex that would host us for a party so big on this night.
