Life long resident

I am a life long resident of Haywards Heath, and lived in Queen's Road as a child. I used Clair Meadow as my playground, and remember it before Clair Hall was built very well.

Over the years I have used Clair Hall for so many different uses : dance shows, amateur dramatic productions, art exhibitions, yoga classes, private functions, blood donations, comedy nights, cinema and so many more.

It would be a travesty if a growing town the size of Haywards Heath was left without a community space where people can meet and socialise. What is required is a flexible space on the lines of the Depot in Lewes. This should include space for a cafe overlooking the beautiful green space of the park, a small cinema and a flexible hall for gatherings, exhibitions, shows, classes etc. I feel that the existing Hall should be refurbished, partly because I fear the old Hall being demolished and then not replaced by a council that seems to only have financial gain at heart.
