Multi-use community space
I wasn't raised in the town, but can imagine how many children's parties I would have attended there if I had! I've attended Clair Hall for a range of purposes, over the years I've been in the area, and always considered it a good venue exactly as it is.
Whether the use was corporate training days and presentations, as part of a local business; fayres showcasing crafts by local people; a polling station where I exercised my right to vote; or where I received my Covid vaccine, it is a valued and needed community facility. The variety of rooms and spaces, and the facilities, make it flexible and present opportunities for simultaneous use by different groups.
I remember taking my partner to the hall to see one of his comedy idols, Richard Herring, perform live, and would love to attend more events of that kind, as well as live music. It has the potential to be great a space for culture and community enjoyment, which places Haywards Heath on the map.
