Community space

We have enjoyed comedy and family theatre events at Claire hall over the years. There is nowhere else like this in HH and we need a lot more of it. With town centres no longer able to rely on retail to keep them alive we need an exhibition, workshop, performance and community well being space. Something for young people would be invaluable too. There is so little for teenagers in the town to do and perhaps in the evening it could host events to bring young people together and engage them in positive and collaborative activities

Multi-use community space

I wasn't raised in the town, but can imagine how many children's parties I would have attended there if I had! I've attended Clair Hall for a range of purposes, over the years I've been in the area, and always considered it a good venue exactly as it is.Whether the use was corporate training days and presentations, as part of a local business; fayres showcasing crafts by local people; a polling station where I exercised my right to vote; or where I received my Covid vaccine, it is a valued and needed community facility. Shows, parties and toddler groups

I've lived near Haywards heath most of my life. I've seen panto's, clairvoyants, films, at Clair hall. I've been involved in charity fashion shows. Dance performances and attended birthday parties here. It was also good as a blood donation centre and a toddler group, both of which I also attended. I will never forget the public meeting held there to discuss the A&E and maternity department at PRH. We faught for that, and we'll fight to keep Clair hall too!
