Redwood Centre

If you remove the Redwood Centre as part of the Clair Hall proposal, then you will deny the community a value asset. As you know it is used by children across the area, either in the capacity of a day nursery or as a hub for beavers, cubs and scouts. Our children have had so many opportunities taken away from them as a result of the pandemic, please don't take this away from them as well. There isn't a viable alternative, so it could have a huge impact on their mental health if they are denied access to a safe place to meet friends and develop new skills. It is operating at nearly full capacity as it also used as a church, for private hire and as the Mid Sussex Scouts HQ. In fact, whilst waiting to pick up from the weekly scout meeting, I see people leaving from Clair Hall with their yoga mats, which reinforces the point that it meets the needs of the whole community. I urge you to think through all the implications and keep the Redwood Centre and Clair Hall serving the area for the foreseeable future.
